Muscle Pain and Soma Pill:

Our entire body is made up of muscles which control our movements. They are like the engine of our body.     The maximum dose of Soma is usually 500 mg
    The maximum recommended period is 2 to 3 weeks. Do not take this medicine longer than the recommended period.
    Do not increase or decrease the dose without prior approval from the doctor.
    Do not try to overdose on Soma as it can be habit-forming.

Important information:

    While taking Soma, do not take other prescription/non-prescription medicines like vitamins, herbal products, supplements, blood pressure medicines, seizure medicines, antifungal medications, anti-depressants or certain antibiotics without informing your doctor. There can be severe drug interactions or allergies.
    Do not take this drug if you are suffering from liver or kidney problems as poor drug removal mechanism can lead to drug accumulation in the body which is not desirable.
    Do not take this drug if you have a recent history of cardiovascular problems especially coronary heart disorder, high blood pressure, chest pain and the like. It can increase the heart rate, change blood pressure levels, or even increase the chances of a cardiac arrest.
    It is not recommended for use during pregnancy as there can be risks associated with miscarriage or birth defects in the newly born baby. Lactating mothers should also avoid the use of this drug as the drug might pass into the breast milk and harm the baby. The mother herself can be harmed as she’s sensitive and vulnerable under those circumstances.
    As there are no well-established results for its use in children, it is not recommended for children and young adults under 16 years of age.
    Alcohol consumption should be avoided while on this medication as alcohol might not allow the drug to work effectively.

What happens if you overdose on Soma?

An overdose of any medication is not advisable as it can have severe consequences. This applies especially to pain medications. These medications can be habit-forming and therefore, its overuse or prolonged use is not recommended by any doctor. Certain consequences of Soma pill overdose can be
    Hallucinations
    Chills or continuous shaking
    Difficulty speaking and breathing
    Lightheadedness
    Fever
    Nausea
    Vomiting
In such cases, the patient should be rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. After recovery, he/ she should ensure that the overdose does not repeat itself. Doctors should be careful in prescribing these medications to people with a long history of drug abuse and addiction.
