Levitra: A Preferred Treatment for Impotence
Amidst the plethora of erectile dysfunction medicines, why
do you think Levitra is preferred by most men? There must be a proper
justification that distinguishes it from other ED pills- right?
The answer to this is right here. Levitra is particularly a
notable ED pill. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for its use
in the treatment of male impotence (medical term- erectile dysfunction). This
ED pill is different from other available oral medications as-
·
Levitra is a brand name for the generic drug
Vardenafil, which is its active ingredient.
·
It is an orally disintegrating tablet that
dissolves on your tongue
·
It is safe for daily use as Levitra comes in
lower doses
·
Also, there are restrictions on food intake with
this ED pill
·
You can avail Levitra online from any medical
pharmacy of your choice
What is Levitra used for?
Levitra is an oral prescription medication that can
facilitate a firm erection in men with erectile dysfunction. It belongs to a
group of medicines called PDE5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) inhibitors, that
increase the blood flow to the penile nerve.
Approved by the Food and Drug Administration in September
2003, Levitra was the second in the series of erectile dysfunction medicines
produced to treat Impotence. It is known for its instant effectiveness.
Note that, Levitra does not cure erectile dysfunction or
induce any sort of sexual stimulation. Also, you should not confuse it as a
medication that can protect one from sexually transmitted diseases. Levitra is
only an erectile dysfunction medication which does not protect one from STDs.
Precautions for that should be taken separately.
How does Levitra work?
Vardenafil
works by blocking the PDE5 enzyme and hence facilitates the production of
an important chemical called cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate). The cGMP
molecules help to relax the muscles around the blood vessels, causing a free
blood flow to the various parts of the body, including the penile nerve.
The blood flows freely to the erectile tissue called corpus
cavernosum in the penis. As a result, the tissue fills with blood and becomes
firm, causing an erection.
