Generic Viagra: The Little Blue Pill

Erectile Dysfunction(ED) is a common inability found in men aged aapproximately between 40 to 70 who have difficulty in having an erection or maintaining an erection long enough, required for a sexual intercourse. It is commonly known as Impotence.
This problem is not really uncommon. It is, in fact, found in men aged below 40 years of age as well. Basically it occurs due to insufficient blood flow to the penile nerve. It can be frequent or it can occur once in a while. If this problem happens to occur frequently, it is always advisable to consult a doctor.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction:

ED is not merely a sexual issue; research suggests it’s much more than that. It can be associated with your physical, mental and emotional aspects as well. The various causes of ED include the following-
  • ·        Diabetes- High blood sugar level can damage the nerve vessels as a result of which there is obstruction in blood circulation;
  • ·        Cardiovascular diseases- The arteries in the penis are comparatively narrower than the ones which cause cardiovascular blockages. Hence, they are likely to be affected sooner by the blockages;
  • ·        Kidney disease- It can affect the blood circulation, hormone level and the overall strength;
  • ·        Stress- Stress is a common cause for Erectile Dysfunction. It can be related to your job, financial problems or marital status;
  • ·        Anxiety- Anxiety can increase your blood pressure level. It does not cause ED but can at least increase the chances of ED;
  • ·        Depression- A mental breakdown can affect a person both physically and emotionally, leading to higher chances of ED;
  • ·        Alcohol- Boozing is a serious root cause of ED as it mainly is a depressant which can dampen your mood

This is not a complete list of causes as ED can be associated with a lot of other factors.
